A Los Angeles area native, Timothy Yeaw has recently made Virginia home. After earning a bachelor degree in art, Timothy pursued a commercial career in visual arts which culminated with him owning a west coast adverting agency for over 20 years. Literally moving away from the agency life in 2015, and captivated by the ever present beauty of the South East, he has transitioned to oil painting full time. Working in his studio from “iPhone sketches" and memory, Timothy’s primary interest is focused on expressing the living, moving, vibration of nature and the emotion of memory.

"I've been greatly influenced by the tonalist masters around the early 1900s. Whistler, Turner, Twachtman, Inness and others– who, in my opinion, painted emotionally stunning landscapes with a modern intent –art for its own sake and beauty in the paint itself rather than the subject."
